About

"DAVID MIERS is reported to be in the top 10 cage fighters in Gosford. He has some serious dish washing skills and thinks that Elizabeth Bennet is hot. Although he thinks that his wife Rowena is hotter. David works in youth ministry for a great church. Likes to: speak in third person, watch and play soccer, eat food and surf the web. He has never watched Star Wars."

Eternal weight of glory Saturday, October 16, 2004 |

This is the name of my blog. It comes from 2Corinthians 4:16-18 in the Bible.
[16] So we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away, our inner nature is being renewed day by day. [17] For this slight momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, [18] as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Cor. 4:16-18 (ESV)
I like to be reminded of the Big Picture Perspective. To step back and see that troubles in this life are only slight and momentary compared to the eternal weight of glory that is to come. Thanks be to God for the forgiveness and eternal life that has been offered to sinners through the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

This is the beginning of my own personal web log. I began one a few years ago [slightmomentaryaffliction]... but didn't pursue it too far. I don't know who will read these pages... and I don't really know what I am going to write. But let's see how I go!

If you happen to stumble upon this page... go and check out the website of my youth group http://ccecyouth.tk.
