About

"DAVID MIERS is reported to be in the top 10 cage fighters in Gosford. He has some serious dish washing skills and thinks that Elizabeth Bennet is hot. Although he thinks that his wife Rowena is hotter. David works in youth ministry for a great church. Likes to: speak in third person, watch and play soccer, eat food and surf the web. He has never watched Star Wars."

Youth Ministry: Web Re-launch

I started playing with a youth group website back in 2002. Since then our youth group site has changed a stack of times. It has been an effective tool and I believe will continue to be an important means of communication in our youth ministry. At our church we have a significant number of newcomers each year. My guess is that at least half of them have checked our church website before coming (which is a big reason why it needs a significant upgrade!).

On February 1 2007 - we will be launching a brand new website for ccecyouth.com The front page and the news page have recently been changed - but they are only temporary.

I'd love your help... If you're keen to help test the new site - please send me an email. If you know of any well designed websites - please put them in the comments. At the moment we are still deciding between joomla and wordpress - I think I like wordpress

Here are our two latest YouTube videos. The first one is from our end of year party - madde by Renae. The second one is the announcements from Carols on Sunday night.

Love the carols announcement video - it's brilliant. Did you edit it etc? How did you manage to get so much time on Santa's lap - weren't there a whole queue of impatient kids waiting?!?

And who's the band doing the backing track to the CCEC Youth video? top

    yo bro

carols - yes i edited it.
there are 2 (at least) santa's at erina fair... the one in the centre court had a super-long line - but the one in myer had none... and no-one came while we were filming. santa said it had been a really busy day - we just happened to come during a quiet time.

it only took 4 mins to film...
and then the footage was edited.

one of the year 12 guys was going to be the actor and do some stuff with santa - and then i was going to do the actual announcements later on... but we decided to just do them sitting on santa.

    we had good fun!

running home is the band doing the backing tracks on ccecyouth vid.
