Abortion Rate in Australia - New Stats Show 91,000 Babies Killed Per Year
CANBERRA, April 22, 2005 (LifeSiteNews.com) - Almost one in five Australian babies are killed by abortion - approximately 91,000 per year - according to the latest federal government findings, released Thursday.
The report is the result of the most comprehensive investigation into abortion carried out by the government. Pro-life National Party Senate leader Ron Boswell, who formally requested the analysis, called the figures "alarming." Boswell said that, as a result, he would "consider what action might be possible that would have majority support," after consultation with party members.
The report also revealed that there were also 419 late-term abortions performed in 2002-2003. Late-term abortions are those that occur 20 weeks or later in the pregnancy. top

That was terrifying, horrific, brutal, honest and such an huge eye opener for me. I always visualised abortion as a needle going into a unformed blob.

just finished listening to bernie.
he spoke about Christians having "theoretical opposition to abortion"
but then argues that Christians need to have "a real and practical and often a painful ministry to those who have real physical needs in this dying culture that we live in a world that says it's okay to kill it's young."
it's a very good talk.
